FIRST TUG WAS FASSMER

With the mission to develop, manufacture and delivery of two 32m seaport tugs assistance for the Hamburg ship-handling, shipping and salvage ompany Fassmer expanding its portfolio in the special shipbuilding.

Today, on 04 June 2014, the first of these two tractors is passed after a successful test drive of the ship-handling shipping company. This new tractor will replace an older unit. The delivery of the second tug is scheduled for late 2014.

The "Bugsier 7" achieved with a length of 31.50m and a width of 11.30m a speed of 13 knots. The hull shape and the drive system were required for a bollard pull of min. 70 tons optimized. The ship is designed for use in ports and coastal areas (RSA 200) designed and bears the class notation GL +100 A5 E1 RSA (200) "Tug" + GL + MC E1 AUT.

With an engine output of 2 x 2249 kW and two robust Schottel rudder propellers is the "Bugsier 7" a powerful powerhouse. In the presence of Germanischer Lloyd, a bollard pull of 72 tonnes was measured and certified. The ship offers enough space for 6 people and is used in the three-man operation in his home port of Hamburg.
